Mikumi National Park is one of the popular parks in Tanzania and it is an importance center for ecology and conservation study. The open grasslands dominate the park with mountain ranges bordering on two sides. Commonly see wildlife includes lions, packs or wild dogs, elephants, buffalos, civets, giraffes, kudus, warthog, zebras, wildebeests and Lichtenstein’s hartebeest. On the southern end of the park, families of yellow baboons live while flocks of open-billed storks and other migratory birds frequently join wallowing hippos.
